There will be 1 minute preliminary freestyles and 3 minute finals.

Freestyle divisions will consist of a 1-minute preliminary freestyle and 3-minute finals freestyles.


* Please note that the title of Indiana State Champion will be given to the highest placing Indiana State resident competing in the 1A division.


1A Division
Top 5 players in the overall 1A preliminary standings will advance to the finals. Top 3 Indiana state residents competing in the 1A division will advance to the finals, regardless of their overall standing.


5A Division
Top 5 players in the preliminary standings will advance to the finals.


Y Division
Y Division is any 2A, 3A or 4A style of yo-yo play. Top 5 players in the preliminary standings will advance to the finals.


Music for freestyles:
Competitors must provide their own music.


Music for 1-minute and 3-minute freestyles must be brought in on a playable CD or on a thumb drive in MP3 format (no other formats will be accepted, i.e. .wma, .vox, .raw, etc…).


Music for 3-minute freestyles will not be accepted until after the list of finalists in each division has been announced.
